Balayya to contest for TDP from Hindupur

Continuing the heat of TDP in the oncoming elections, actor and family member of Nandamuri clan, Balakrishna aka Balayya sumitted his nomination papers to contest for TDP from Hindupur. The Legend of the masses performed a ritual at Suguru Anjaneya Swamy Temple before he did the sacred act of submitting his nomination. The leaders of the party met collectively under Abdul Ghani, MLA TDP, to look into further arrangements of the same.

The local leaders and the members of TDP all over predict a grand victory for Balayya in the upcoming elections. They have given active pledge to rake in majority of votes for Balayya crossing that of late NTR when he contested from the same constituency years ago.

Interestingly, it has to be noted that Balakrishna is contesting from Hindupur Constituency for imminent polls and his name was also announced in the party’s third list of Seemandhra candidates.

This development takes a whole new dimension to the existing dynamics of Telugu Desam Party and Seemandhra region. It remains to be seen whether the magic of Balakrishna will work on the masses to turn the tide in favour of Telugu Desam Party.

The actor who is currently basking under the success of his film Legend, as given active support to Nara Chandrababu Naidu to boost the morale of Telugu Desam as a brand. His choice to contest from the same constituency as that of his father proves the fact that the party intends to capitalise on the sentiments prevailing over NTR legacy and the TDP affiliation.
