Badhaai Ho is one of the critically and commercially acclaimed films of the year 2018. Starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra in the leads, this film which was released without any expectations, went on to collect more than Rs. 125 crores at the box office.
The film was directed by Amit Sharma, who earlier directed Tevar which was a remake of Okkadu. Now, the director is getting ready to direct his third film which is going to be a biopic of Indian Football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. Star actor Ajay Devgn will play the lead role in it.
Speaking on the pressure that is felt whole making a sports drama, Amit said ” Making a sports drama is a big responsibility. Everything in the current world is competitive. I just want to stick to reality while making this film, as it is a big responsibility to tell the story of a person who actually existed.” More details about the film are expected to be out soon.
