The Banjara Hills police arrested actor Venkata Prasad who is also the manager of Prasad’s IMAX multiplex in Hyderabad on charges of cheating and threatening a woman.
According to the police, a woman, who also works in Prasad’s, has mentioned in her complaint that Venkata Prasad had sexually exploited her for seven years. When she asked him for marriage, he started to avoid her. She alleged that he was now in sexual relation with another woman.
According to victim, Venkata Prasad had made her pregnant twice, and he also forced to abort the fetus, on both occasions. When she asked him to marry her, he threatened to kill her.
The police booked a case for cheating and other relevant sections under the IPC and arrested Venkata Prasad. During the investigation, police reportedly found out that Prasad had cheated several women in the past. Currently, the investigation is going on.
Venkata Prasad played the role of Prabhas’s adopted father in SS Rajamouli’s historic and war drama Baahubali. He recently appeared in Rajasekhar’s PSV Garuda Vega in a PA role of a minister.
