Asif Ali and wife Zama Mazreen had a baby boy yesterday! Both the baby and the mother are okay and an ecstatic Asif posted this Facebook update:

In times of my joys and sorrows, my friends and
colleagues stand beside me and guide me. Hence I wish to inform you the happiness that has just arrived, we are blessed with a baby boy with the lord almighty’s blessings and abundant grace along with all your best wishes

Asif”
He wasn’t done and few hours later the young father updated his status so:
“A new baby is like the beginning of all things-wonder, hope, a dream of possibilities.
thank u so much for ur prayers n wishes love u all”
The couple had gotten married in May, 2013 in a traditional ceremony.
Asif had recently even thrown Zama a surprise baby shower, with a few close friends and a few people from the film fraternity.
Apart from an obviously happy married life and a new baby, the actor also has quite a few movies lined up. Mosayile Kuthira Meenukal, shot in Lakshadweep, is the upcoming movie for Asif co- starring with Sunny Wayne and Janani Iyer. It’s a comedy flick with Asif playing the solo lead for the first time. Good days for the young dad indeed..
Lakshadweep does seem like a popular location now with Mohanlal’s Koothara also being shot there, interestingly also with Janani and Sunny.
Asif was also to play a part in the movie Nellikka, but was replaced by Deepak Parampel due to his busy schedule and date clashes.
So today, Malayalam movie fans everywhere wish Asif and Zama all the happiness in the world for the future and a hearty congrats!
