In an industry where fierce competition and huge egos reign fearless, it is indeed heart warming to see a sincere friendship or two. Arya and Nayantara are two such good friends, and any news involving the duo immediately catches the eyes of the fans.
So it did not come as a huge surprise to many when Arya offered Nayan a gift only the producer of a movie can give – a special pre release screening of his maiden venture as a producer.
We are of course talking about the film Amara Kaaviyam, directed by Jeeva Shankar and produced by Arya under the banner of his company The Show People. The movie stars Arya’s brother Sathya, and Mollywood actress Mia George in the lead roles. This is Sathya’s debut as an actor and Mia’s entry in to Kollywood.
The flick has been touted as a romance saga based on a true incident from the 1980s. So the entire story in the film too is set in the eighties to give it that authentic vibe.
Now, the audio launch of the film had drawn the attention of many with its star studded attendance list and it was after this that Nayan and her friends, courtesy of Arya, got a screening of the movie. Nayantara was so moved by the end of the film and was completely captured by charm and gravitas of the storyline that she was in tears.
Congratulating the stars and the crew for a job well done, the actress also told them not to bother about how well the movie would do once it’s out.
“There have been many amazing movies that did not become a commercial success…” added the sensational diva.
In any case, Amara Kaaviyam, which Nayan gave such a big promotional boost to, will be out soon enough as the postproduction work is going on pretty fast.
Let’s wait for the fans to make that final call. Who knows maybe it is destined to be a memorable smash hit after all…
