Andhra Pradesh parents sentenced jail in Norway on charges of “gross or repeated maltreatment” of their child.A Norway court on today (December 4, 2012) sentenced Chandrasekhar Vallabhaneni to 18 months and his wife Anupama to 15 months in prison.
Chandrasekhar Vallabhaneni, a software professional from Andhra Pradesh, and his wife Anupama, who were arrested by the police last month, were convicted for gross or repeated maltreatment of their child/children by threats, violence or other wrong.
The children will remain in India with their grandparents. The family of the couple said that they will appeal to a higher court.
