This is what the speculation was recently among the industry watchers and gossipmongers, as the actress did not show up for the audio launch of Arya’s maiden production venture starring his brother Sathya, Amara Kaaviyam.
Anushka’s absence at the ceremony despite an invitation extended by Arya was the source of much of the eyebrow raising. It was then surmised that perhaps the duo had a falling out during the making of Selvaraghavan’s Irandam Ulagam.
It is worth mentioning that such rumours had also spread earlier regarding Arya and Nayantara for a brief period before the actor slammed them down.
So what about this time? Surely, with an invitation extended to such an important affair, Anushka must have had some reason not to be present!
Well, apparently, according to Arya himself, she did indeed.
“I had invited not just Anushka but Tapsee as well to attend the event. They could not make it as Anushka was, at the time, shooting for SS Rajamouli’s Bahubali in Hyderabad and Tapsee was busy with a Hindi film of her own.” Arya clarified in a recent interview he did.
So clearly, no animosity exists between the two actors.
But boy, with all these rumours about him falling out with his co stars, maybe Arya has some bad mojo going on around him. This is strange, as he is also one of the younger stars much praised by his peers for his warm-hearted nature.
Let’s hope the media leaves the poor star alone for the foreseeable future at least.
Arya is currently filming for the film Purampokku directed by SP Jananathan. He stars alongside Vijay Sethupathi, Shaam and Karthika Nair in this one. His other upcoming film is Meagamann, directed by Magizh Thirumeni, which is in post production now.
