Well there is promoting your movie and then there is out and out ‘campaigning’ for your movie, and Suriya and team Anjaan seem to believe in the latter strategy. The sheer amounts of promotional tactics and events that have been conducted by this group deserve a round of applause on its own!
Man, it is going to be a real drag if the movie turns out to be a dud… but that looks unlikely given the audience response to what they have ‘sampled’ so far.
After their official Anjaan Race Wars android game launch and the grand audio launch of the movie’s Telugu dubbed version – Sikandar – a couple of days ago with big names like Allu Arjun, Nagarjuna and Kamal Haasan in attendance, you would think they were done. But no..
Tean Anjaan, as they shall be referred to from now on, headed to Kerala and made an appearance today in front of hundreds of jubilant fans.
The fans gathered in huge numbers at Kavitha Theatre in Kochi to see the actor Suriya, director N Lingusamy and Dhananjayan Govind of UTV Motion Pictures promote their flick.
Tamil films are usually released in Kerala without a Malayalam dubbing and Anjaan will follow suit with its big release on the Independence Day, August 15th.
Suriya enjoys a huge fan following in Kerala and this of course meant quite the enthusiastic reception the actor and his colleagues encountered in God’s Own Country.
In fact, Dhananjayan was so pleased, he tweeted this out after the event wrapped up:
Unbelievable response at Kavitha theatre from fans for #Anjaan #Suriya sir’s visit…thank you fans for thronging the theatre.
So it looks like Anjaan will see some good business in Kerala after all..
