Political situation continues to be fluid in the State with both the Congress leadership and Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy camp showing no signs of battle fatigue.
Rayachoti MLA G Srikanth Reddy shot off a letter to Chief Minister K Rosaiah this afternoon expressing his suspicion that he (Rosaiah) was behind those who were utilising the premises of the Congress Legislature Party to hit out at the late YS Rajasekhara Reddy. He wanted the Chief Minister to come clean.
In an unusually prompt reply, Rosaiah said he was equally unhappy that the CLP premises was being used to criticise Rajasekhara Reddy but maintained that it was not being done at his behest. He said he was going to constitute an executive for the CLP soon. Meanwhile in Delhi, action continued with PCC chief D Srinvias and Rajya Sabha member KVP Ramachandra Rao meeting Sonia Gandhi’s political secretary Ahmed Patel. In another development, senior leader and Congress MP V Hanumanth Rao also met Sonia Gandhi and the message that appears to be coming out of 10 Janpath is that the party would not tolerate Jagan Mohan Reddy’s attitude and that he should either fall in line or face the consequences.
In Pulivendula, Jagan, while ending his two-day mini Odarpu Yatra in the constituency, once again lamented the steady “deterioration” in State politics after the death of his father.
