HYDERABAD: Union Minister of state for Forest and Environment Jai Ram Ramesh and five others were unanimously elected to the Rajya Sabha from Andhra Pradesh.
Those elected included Congress senior leader and former chief minister Nedurumalli Janardahan Reddy, V Hanumanth Rao, Jai Ram Ramesh and JD Seelam and TDP candidates Y Satyanarayan Chowdary and G Sudha Rani. As the date for withdrawl of nominations was over today, the Assembly secretary announced that all the six candidates in the fray were elected unanimously.
Returning officer and Assembly secretary S Raja Sadaram formally announced that all the six candidates were elected unanimously.
