Director Vikas Bahl stated that he would like Alia Bhatt to be the leading lady for his next project Shaandar which stars Shahid Kapoor as the leading man. The filmmaker expressed his desire to cast Alia while talking to PTI.
“We have finalised Shahid. I would like to have Alia in the film, but we are still working on the script. So it’s too early to talk about the heroine” he said.
Alia Bhatt is now the hot favourite of many directors, thanks to her mind blowing performances in the films Student of the Year and Highway. The actress proved that acting indeed runs in the family blood.
The young heroine will soon be seen in 2 States, opposite Arjun Kapoor. This screen adaptation of the celebrated novel written by Chetan Bhagat holds the interest levels of the audience high, looking at the perfect pairing of the rumoured couple in love.
Shahid Kapoor will come back with another commercial entertainer after his last flick with Sonakshi, R..Rajkumar. The turn of things has proved favorable for the actor, who was struggling off late to get a hit for a long time.
If this cast works out as planned, it will make for a great on screen pairing, given Shahid’s boy next door looks and Alia’s bratty demeanor. The actress refused to make any comment to this effect. “I prefer not to talk anything right now. Whenever it has to come out it will” she said.
Meanwhile Alia and Arjun are busy promoting their film to release, 2 States.
