Yes, that’s right. Aksha Kumar is all set to act and produce the film to be directed by Prabhu Deva. The film is titled as ‘Singh is Bling’. Everybody remembers Akki’s outstanding success with Singh is Kingg and looks like sentiments still prevail over the Singh factor.
The film is planned for a July 2015 release and this time around, Prabhu Deva will not be making a remake. The story and the idea are very original, sensational and funky. The film will be co produced by Ashvini Yardi who made an official statement to PTI – “This film is going to be an outright entertainer and Akshay’s character in the film will leave an everlasting impression on the viewers. There couldn’t have been a better title for the film and we are extremely excited that Prabhu Deva will be directing Grazing Goat’s Pictures next Hindi feature film’ she said.
If one remembers clearly, the films Namastey London and Singh is Kingg brought the sensational pair of Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in front of Bollywood audience. The couple looked magical on screen and hit the hearts with some impeccable performances. We wonder if the Kats magic will once again be reprised, even though the film crew is yet to finalise the rest of the cast.
After directing R..Rajkumar, Prabhu Deva sure is saturated with remake business. This will be his first film with an original story launch padded into Bollywood, way away from his earlier films that were all direct remakes from the South.
