Actresses Shilpa Shetty and Raveena Tandon had one common link in their past – hunkie Akshay Kumar who broke both the hearts along with many others to go ahead and tie the knot with Twinkle Khanna. Recently, the media and crowd saw the two sexy actresses and the ex-love interests of Akki get together and share a great bonding!
It all happened when Raveen Tandon was invited along with her husband Anil Thadani by Shilpa Shetty Raj Kundra duo at the launch of a Gold Jewellery brand, Satyog that is endorsed and presented by Shilpa Shetty. The two girls were seen holding hands and posing for the shutterbugs, sending in overwhelm to the Hindi film lovers. The actresses were seen exchanging the warmth, and were also seen partying after the event together in Mumbai.
Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon had a fiery affair in the nineties that was one step close to matrimony. However, things went South when Akshay suddenly called it quits with Raveena. The glitzy world immediately saw the Khiladi Kumar courting Shilpa Shetty after this break up that looked painful only to Raveena. The actress was also said to have attempted suicide in her pain and anguish.
Shilpa, on the other hand, never proclaimed any serious link up with Akki. Both went on to perform on screen for some remarkable projects and the link up sank without trace when Akshay suddenly announced his engagement with Twinkle Khanna.
Raveena Tandon till date refuses to reconcile with Akshay on professional levels. This was evident during the shooting of the film, Aan –Men at Work, where Raveena explicitly stated that her scenes should be shot far away from Akshay on screen. Both have never appeared together on screen again after that.
