Remember the lively kid from Mani Ratnam’s award-winning drama Kannathil Muthamittal (2002)? She is all grown up now and is getting married. Keerthana, daughter of actor-filmmaker R Parthipan, is all set to enter the wedlock soon.
According to a report, Keerthana is tying the knot with Akshay Akkineni, son of renowned editor Sreekar Prasad. Akshay Akkineni has directed the Hindi remake of the super hit Tamil film Pizza. He has also worked with Bejoy Nambiar in films like Wazir and David.
On the other hand, after winning a National Award for her performance in Kannathil Muthamittal, Keerthana was flooded with acting opportunities, but she turned them down and worked as an assistant director to Mani Ratnam.
The wedding is expected to be a grand affair with all the leading celebrities of Tamil cinema in attendance.
