Yes, we have confirmation that it was Thala Ajith himself who recommended Vijay for a role in his upcoming mega flick Thala 55! And Vijay is now on board the project and has begun shooting his portions, according to sources. But hold on… we are not talking about Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay here of course!
No – we are talking about the veteran actor Thalaivasal Vijay, who is playing a pivotal role in the Ajithkumar starrer.
Ajith and Thalaivasal Vijay have been friends for over a decade and half, ever since the star’s hit romantic movie Kadhal Kottai. And so, when Gautham Menon was casting for the movie and a suitable role presented itself, Ajith took the chance to personally recommend his friend, say the sources.
Thala has been known to do this all the time and it is no wonder he has no shortage of friends and well wishers within the industry. Generosity and loyalty goes a long way in earning respect!
Ajith’s giving nature though is not just limited to his peers in the movie industry but also extends to his staff and his fans. Though he likes to keep his charitable side out of the public eye as he believes in charity for charity’s sake and not for recognition, some things do tend to slip out.
For example, it was only a few weeks ago that the world learned that the actor had built free, fully furnished homes for his household staff who have been with him a long time!
