Introduction songs for the superstars are a common feature of every mass masala entertainer in Kollywood and all the stars have their own distinct flavours when it comes to this. While Vijay has his rocking dance steps and socially uplifting lyrics with a bit of self promotion of course, Rajini has his huge production values and catchy tunes – but Ajith is one superstar whose intro songs in the past have been a little… lacking.
But this time around, with the Thala 55 hype building up every day, director Gautham Menon is all set to change the trend for Thala Ajithkumar.
Yes, sources say Guatham Menon may be planning to follow the model of Kamal Haasan’s famous intro song in the movie Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. People still remember the hip song that was on everybody’s lips when the movie came out and it did quite justifiably promote Kamal’s badass cop character in the flick.
So it seems like a right fit given that Ajith too plays a ‘rough n tough’ cop in Thala 55. Reports say that the song will have stylish visuals with Ajith donning multiple chic outfits, and will likely have the hardcore Ajith fans in the audience clapping and cheering to the beats.
Meanwhile, Thala 55 shooting is progressing rapidly and in an efficient manner in various parts of Chennai. Anushka Shetty will rejoin the sets soon, once the portions with Trisha and Ajtih have been canned.
The film’s music is being composed by Harris Jayaraj and Dan Macarthur is the man behind the lens.
The rest of the cast of the film includes Arun Vijay, Thalaivasal Vijay, Baby Anikha Surendran and others.
