Remember Telugu Heroine Raasi from the 90’s and 2000’s fame? Now a rumour has surrounded her of entering into politics. She met YSRCP leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at Lotus Pond in Hyderabad.
In the recent times, Raasi was reported of visiting A.P opposition leader Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy at his house in Hyderabad. People close to the party are murmuring that Raasi has decided to join politics sooner or later and will quit films at any time. Raasi has been hosting “Maa Talkies” in Maa TV.
Seems like Raasi is following her companion Roja footsteps. Roja too was a star heroine in Telugu Cinema; later she joined Telugu Desam Party. She was also nominated as State Mahila Chairman. She left TDP and joined YSRCP and is elected as MLA.
Now, Raasi also decided to follow what Roja has done and join politics to test her luck. Raasi along with her husband and daughter visited Y.S. Jagan. Her meeting with Jagan became a prominent talk among many as rumors were aired that she may be playing an active role in politics. According to close aides of Raasi, her visit to Jagan has nothing to do with politics. She visited Jagan on her daughter’s birthday and took his blessings.
Raasi has played as the lead heroine in many Telugu films. She paired opposite many star heroes not once but many times. After her marriage, she wasn’t much seen on the silver screen. Mahesh Babu starrer Nijam saw her in a negative shaded role. She even did few item songs in Telugu and Tamil films.
