Senior Tamil comedian Kumarimuthu has breathed his last on Sunday night at a private hospital in Chennai.

The 77-year-old actor, who was known for his trademark laugh portraying comic roles, was said to be having age infused health issues for a long time.
The veteran actor made his acting debut in “Ival Oru Seethai” in 1978. Kumarimuthu starred in over 500 films in a career spanning over three decades. Idhu Namma Aalu, Sahadevan Mahadevan, Oru Oorla Oru Rajakumari, Marumagan, etc. are some of his best films. He was also a member of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party. His last movie was “Villu,” starring Ilayathalapathy Vijay and Nayantara in 2009.
May his Soul Rest Peace.
