Kannada television artistes Indhudhar and his wife Hemalata were found dead in their house in Jaynagar area of the city this evening, police said.
According to police, Indhudhar, in his forties was found hanging from the ceiling fan while his wife in her late thirties was found lying dead on the bed at their residence.
A note recovered from the house and signed by the both, stated that they had chosen to end their lives owing to some personal reasons.
Police said they suspected that Indudhar first smothered his wife to death and then hung himself. They also suspect that the incident might have taken place took place in the morning.
