Sunil Shetty

He was one of the most sought after action heroes in the 90s. Gopi Kishan,  Dilwale, Mohra, Border, Bhai and Dus were some of his films that made him loved by the junta. He also played some negative roles, but only Main Hoo Na clicked among them. Sunil Shetty was seen in a cameo in Jai Ho, as the army man who suddenly appears on the streets of Mumbai on an army tanker.

Ajay Devgn

In Phool Aur Kaante, the hero balances himself on two fast riding bikes and enters the college campus. He passes flying kisses to the cheering girls and also does a 180 degree split when a small divider comes in between the bikes. Thus emerged another action hero of Bollywood, Mr. Ajay Devgan. Lately, he has mixed action with comedy.

Fondly called as ‘He-Man’ of Bollywood, Dharam paaji was very much admired for his action in films. Sunny Deol

Sunny Deol continued the Papa’s legacy of action. The dhaai-Kilo haath waala Sunny Paaji’s movies had action as an integral part. From Ghayal to Ghatak to Gadar, he left no stone unturned in perfecting the art of thrashing the baddies. Even in the latest Singh Sahab The Great, he makes sure he has enough ‘Thad Thad Thad Thad’ to do.

The new Vijay Deenanath Chauhan is the best combination of great looks and action.  Apart from excelling in dance and acting, he has been very convincing in the action sequences too. From Mission Kashmir to Krishh-3. Duggu flawlessly enacted some action roles whenever he got them.

Salman Khan

This Dabanng Khan’s first film which got him a popular image of action hero was Karan Arjun. Later many movies followed having him as an action hero but terribly bombed at the Box-office. It was only with Tere Naam, Salman became a consistent darling at the box-office. With back-to-back hits from then till the latest Ek Tha Tiger, Bhai has become the most saleable action star.

Sanjay Dutt

Much before Salman and Hrithik flaunted their packs, Sanju Baba was the baap of muscled body.  From Rocky to Agneepath, Sanjay Dutt appeared in numerous action roles. He is simply unbeatable when it comes to playing the bad guy. Be it Khal Nayak, Kaante, Vaastav or Agneepath when he is supposed to be bad, he is deadly!
