Aatagallu is the latest Telugu film that is going to have a grand release on this Friday. Along with three other releases, the film is hitting the screens. Nara Rohit and Jagapathi Babu are playing the lead roles in the movie. The film also stars Darshana Banik as the leading lady. Parachuri Murali who earlier directed the film’s like Adhinayakudu and Andhrudu is the director of the film. The director is very much confident that the film will do well at the box office and the movie is said to be an interesting thriller. The theatrical trailer has already raised the expectations on the film and check out the review of the film here.
Story:
Siddarth (Nara Rohith) is a film director who faces court charges for allegedly murdering his wife Anjali (Darshana). On the other side, a senior, sincere and powerful advocate (Jagapathi Babu) takes up the case and tries to prove Siddarth is innocent. After court letting Siddarth free, the advocate comes to know that Siddarth is the actual culprit. What happens then? How did advocate take the case forward? Forms the story of the movie.
Performances:
Nara Rohit and Jagapathi Babu have given wonderful performances in the film. They have performed in a way that they tried their best to dominate each other. As a film director and as an advocate both Nara Rohit and Jagapathi Babu impressed. Darshana Banik is the new heroine who made her debut in Telugu film industry. She is also good regarding looks as well as performances. The actors like Brahmanandam, Subbaraju, Sri Tej, Jeeva, Tulasi and others performed well in their limited roles and did justice for the characters they were chosen for.
Technical Aspects:
The cinematography by Vijay C Kumar is impressive. He has maintained a perfect tone and color pattern for the film. He impressed with his visuals. The dialogues by Chiranjeevi are good. The fights by Sri are composed well, and Prem Rakshith also came up with decent dance choreography. Sai Karthik’s music is okay, and his background score has come out well. The editing is good and decent. The production values are grand.
Writing Department:
Paruchuri Murali came up with an interesting story but the screenplay he designed for the film is not so impressive. The dialogues are good but appeared loud in some scenes.
Verdict:
Aatagallu is an interesting courtroom drama that has got the potential to keep the audiences hooked to the plot. Even though, the director designed an interesting plot for the film, he failed in executing the same with some impressive screenplay. The movie has an exciting interval point but the interest was not sustained properly in the second half of the film. The movie falls flat at different levels in narration too. Though there is a scope for sustaining the suspense factor for a longer time, the director has revealed it unevenly and tried to add up some more scenes which killed the excitement of the audiences. On the whole, except for the performances from Rohith and Jagapathi Babu, there is nothing so great about the film.
