Actor Aamir Khan was flagged down by three traffic constables after he drove into a no-entry lane in Satara, Maharashtra on Sunday. Even as onlookers tried to get the cops to let the actor go, Aamir insisted on paying the fine of Rs 100. “Meri galti hai (It’s my mistake),” Aamir said, and urged the constables to fine him. Constable Sanjay Sable said they issued a challan of Rs 100, as the crowd wanting to see the actor grew by the minute.
The actor and his wife, Kiran Rao, were travelling from Panchgani in their BMW and were on their way to Kaas plateau. Aamir was driving the car, while his bodyguards were following in another vehicle. When the car neared Powai naka area, Aamir took a wrong turn at Shivaji circle. Sable said Khan admitted his mistake and asked what had to be done. “He said anyone who is wrong should pay a fine and the police should not let anyone get away,” said Sable.(IANS)
