The Shamirpet police on Sunday raided a private resort on the city outskirts and arrested 41 persons, including 18 women, for indulging in obscene dances.
Police also registered cas-es against the owner of the resort as well as the organiser of the programme, reported to be a pre-Holi bash.
Twelve of the women dancers have been brought from Mumbai, four were from Andhra Pradesh, and one each from Orissa and Rajasthan. All the 23 arrested men are from various parts of the city. The party was organised at Raves Exotic Resort, located at Upparpally, Shamirpet.
Owner of the resort, Durga Prasad, and the event organiser, Ram Reddy, are said to be absconding.
The Shamirpet inspector, Mr Narender Reddy, said when the police team raided the premises at 11.30 pm, scantily clad female dancers were entertaining party hoppers to the music blaring from a sound system. Police registered cases under Section 294 of the IPC (obscene acts and songs), Section 109 of the IPC (abetment of offence) and under the Cyberabad Police Act.
