Kunchacko Boban starrer Polytechnic and Fahad Fazil starrer 1 by Two have postponed their releases to April 12th and 13th respectively.
Both movies had postponed releases earlier so as not to conflict with the Lok Sabha elections today. One has to wonder if this move has something to do with the release of the two big flicks tomorrow on the 11th– Mammootty’s Gangster and Prithviraj’s 7th Day.
Polytechnic is a laugh riot and complete family entertainer, claims the director M Padmakumar. Kunchacko plays a politician and Bhavana plays a cop in this film, both assured as light hearted roles. The trailer to this one was shot in an unconventional manner with a narration by Kunchacko.
1 by Two, directed by Arunkumar Aravind, also has a cop role in the movie, played by Fahad Fazil for whom it’s a first. Abhinaya plays his wife in the film which was shot in Bangalore. This movie’s trailer managed to turn a few heads with actress Honey Rose lip locking with Murali Gopy and with Fahad’s track record of hits; it already has eager fans waiting for the big day.
Polytechnic, even with all the calculated delays will have to go head to head with Dileep’s comedy entertainer Ringmaster which releases the same day, in which he plays a dog trainer. The movie was in the news because of its new approach and the extensive ‘canine’ casting.
