1 the most expensive so far

As far as the trends of film making in Tollywood go, nobody can deny the fact that whether a fillm has a great story or not, the star element of a Big Hero pays off very well at the Box Office. The same was evident with Attarintiki Daredi, which roared like a lion with collections at the Box Office thanks to a single lone factor called Power Star Pawan Kalyan.

In the industry where heroes are worshiped like Gods and caste sentiments are deeply attached, it goes without saying that the budgets have been incredibly huge while making a popcorn entertainer for multiplex and rural audiences.

While films like Magadheera have touched a 45 crore mark with making but delivered collections much more than that, it is a Mahesh Babu film that ranks the topmost now with the heaviest budget ever. 1 – Nenokkadiney has been made with a figure close to 70 crore and that is the highest ever spending on a Tollywood film so far.

With magnum opus like Baahubali and period drama like Rudramadevi still in the making, one really needs to see what amounts these two finally touch. Baahubali is speculated to cross a 100 crore mark in terms of budget and if that happens, it would be the most expensive film ever made so far. Rudramadevi is not very far behind, what with director Guna spending a fortune with costumes and sets.

Talking about risks and returns, our Tollywood seems to be really volatile.
