Three years back, it was announced that India’s expensive film is being made with Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal as the lead. Sreekumar Menon was announced as the director and UAE based businessman BR Shetty came forward to produce it with a whopping amount of Rs. 1000 crores.
The film was based on the novel Randamoozham written by Vasudevan Nair. But unfortunately, it didn’t go on floors till now and the makers have officially announced that they have shelved the film. Producer BR Shetty revealed that the differences between Sreekumar Menon and Vasudevan Nair have caused the film to get shelved.
He also stated that though this project got shelved, his passion for producing India’s expensive film has not been fulfilled yet. Thus, he promised to make a film which will be of the same potential with such a massive amount of budget. We have to see when will he fulfill his dream.
