Just a few days back, Bollywood singer Arjit Singh has surprised everyone by posting a public apology to superstar Salman Khan.
Only after that it came to light that his song, ‘Jag Ghumiya’ was dropped from Salman’s upcoming wrestling drama ‘Sultan’. Not many are aware of the preceding drama, so we have brought you the story.
A video throwing light on the turn of events Arjit cracked a joke on Salman during a 2014 awards show hosted by Salman. When Arjit came on the dais to accept the Best Singer Award, he managed to irk Salman with an ill-advised joke.
When Arjit was asked he informed that he was very nervous as it was his first awards show and his joke wasn’t directed at Salman in particular. He added that he felt terrible also apologized to him the same night by texting a long apology note. Salman replied and advised him on how to behave and added that he was not angry. Arjit added that he has been apologizing for three years now.
Arjit added, “I tried to reach him last night as well but in vain. So I resorted to a social media apology hoping it will reach him. I knew people would misinterpret it and when it instigated arguments I thought I should remove it. I am not in Mumbai at the moment, or I’d have gone to his apartment last night. I am going to do that once I am back. I have hopes that he will be fine with me one day.”
A source close to the 50-year-old actor reiterated that what happened at the awards function was not taken seriously by Salman. He added that the song sung by Arjit was dropped by the producer and director and Salman has nothing to do with it.
