Akshara Haasan’s Upcoming film Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana has landed in trouble with the right wing organisations. There is a scene in the film, as shown in the trailer, where a heavily pregnant Akshara Haasan is getting married to Gurmeet Choudhary. The scene has not gone down well with the VHP. The organisation feels that this scene is against the Indian culture.
Around 25 VHP members protested outside producers’ office in Andheri, Mumbai. According to VHP, the scene in question is against the Hindu culture, and they want it deleted from the movie. But the makers have refused to comply with the unruly demands.
“We are not going to delete a single scene from our film. We have got a U/A certificate and not even one scene has been chopped from the film,” TP Aggarwal, co-producer of the film, was quoted as saying by the Firstpost.
It was just a few days ago, when we were talking to Vivaan Shah, the male lead of the film, and quizzed him about the potential objectionable content in the film. He said “I hope is doesn’t offend anybody. I hope there is no problem like that, but it is a very bold subject. It is very brave of the filmmaker and Akshara to tackle the subject. It is an issue new to our country.”
