We have already reported that Victory Venkatesh is gearing up to start shooting for his new film ‘Guru.’ As per latest reports, the first look of this boxing drama will be unveiled tomorrow.
‘Guru’ is the working title of the Telugu remake of Tamil – Hindi bilingual boxing drama ‘Saala Khadoos.’ Sudha Kongara, who directed the original, is also helming the Telugu version. The regular shooting of this project will commence on September 19. Actress Ritika Singh will reprise her role of an aspiring boxer.
Venkatesh is currently bulking up to play the role of a boxing coach. Despite the warning of doctors, Venky is heard to be working out heavily to look authentic as a boxing coach. Incidentally, Madhavan, who is noted for his chocolate boy looks, also built muscles to essay the role of a boxing coach in the original film.
The makers are planning to release the Telugu remake in December.
