Kollywood media is abuzz that the Tamil film industry has imposed an unofficial ban on dusky actress Amala Paul.
It is already known that Amala and her director-husband AL Vijay have recently applied for divorce with mutual consent. Even after the marriage, the actress continued to act in films as filmmakers had no qualm with her ‘married’ tag. But, the situation has changed now.
Vijay’s father, Alagappa, who is an actor and senior producer, is said to be the man who is forcing Tamil filmmakers not to offer Amala any films. Corroborating the same, few films which were earlier offered to Amala, are now being offered to other actresses. Amala will be next seen in Dhanush starrer ‘Vada Chennai’ and she has no other films in hand.
With the unofficial ban imposed on her, Amala is said to be looking for opportunities in her mother tongue Malayalam and Telugu.
