Senior Tamil actor Anandraj, who has acted in several southern movies, mainly playing a villain, has lodged an official police complaint alleging he has been receiving threatening calls.
Ananda Raj had been a member of late Jayalalithaa-led AIADMK party in Tamil Nadu. Post her death, expressing his dissent over the happenings (making Chinnamma Sasikala as the replacement of Amma), he decided to walk out of the party. He also has made some criticizing comments against the top brass leaders.
In the aftermath, Raj has lodged a case at a police station in Chennai alleging that some unknown miscreants have been calling him and threatening to kill him. Acting on the complaint, police have provided security at his home and also started an investigation.
