The Udta Punjab controversy is the much-talked issue in the country right now. All the film related personalities are coming out with their individual opinions and are urging the censor board not to kill the creativity of a filmmaker. Anurag Kashyap is also fighting against them. Telugu film industry also reacted in support to Udta Punjab and its director Anurag.
“I am a Punjabi, and I don’t mind watching the film. All Punjabis also has to treat a film like a film and even after watching the film I don’t think the love and affection towards Punjab by the people living in the state will change. Earlier there were many films on Terrorism with Mumbai backdrop, and all Mumbai people welcomed it with open arms and Punjabis also should do the same now.” reacted Rakul Preet Singh.
Lakshmi Manchu also posted her opinion in support to the film. She says that films are the tools to express the individual opinions, and she says that it is not good on part of the censor board. Along with her, many other prominent personalities like Raghavender Rao, Deva Katta, SS Rajamouli, Siddartha and few others came forward in support to the film.
