Suhasini- Mani Ratnam’s son chooses different path

Nandan, son of ace director Mani Ratnam and his wife actor-director Suhasini, has supposedly found his calling in a diametrically opposite field from that of his family. Spotted at the 19th All India Congress of the Communist Party of India in Coimbatore, this 17-year-old former Mylapore Vidya Mandir student was serving as a volunteer at the meet.

He has also authored a 27-page pamphlet on Leninism, titled contours of Leninism which is on sale at the venue along with other red literature.

When talked to, Nandan said that his interest in reading had attracted him to Marx and his principles. According to him, Marxism is the most cogent, comprehensive and highly developed complex of theory and practice. To a question on his parent’s reaction to this, the teenager was not very sure of the same.
Kabali fame Dhansika’s URU Shooting in a deep forest

Malayalam film Uru has been making headlines for the past few days. The film stars Dhansika and Kalaiyarasan in lead roles.

Kalai and Dhansika have been already paired in the yet to be released movie called ‘Kaala Koothu’ now there are into one more psychological thriller titled ‘Uru’. This film is written and directed by Vicky Anand which is said to be her debut film.

The movie is been produced under the banners of Vaiyam Medias. The music of the film is composed by Johan. Cinematography and Editing are done by Prasanna S Kumar and San Lokesh.
The flick is said to be a thriller set in the dense forest and will be based on real life incidents. The team has also said that the most of the portions of this are expected to be shot in and around Kodaikanal.
