Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s wax figure is making a special appearance at the Madame Tussauds museum.
On loan for three months from London, the 44-year-old actor’s statue will be on display alongside Hollywood stars Jackie Chan, Harrison Ford and Johnny Depp.
The life-size wax statue of Khan was installed at the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in London in April 2007.
"Madame Tussauds Hong Kong has been receiving many more tourists from India in the last two years. While these guests enjoy meeting our unique collection of 100 international celebrities and world leaders, we are delighted to have Khan join our attraction," Bret Pidgeon, General Manager of Madam Tussauds Hong Kong and Shanghai said in a statement.
However, the museum in the city is not new to Bollywood as it had last year displayed the wax figure of megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
"Following the success of displaying Amitabh Bachchan’s wax figure at the attraction last year, we anticipate that Khan will be as popular with the Indian community in Hong Kong and guests visiting from abroad," Pidgeon added.
Shah Rukh is currently shooting for his first superhero film ‘Ra.One’ in India.
His wax figure will be on display at the World Premiere section in the museum until July 21.
