Actress Samantha, who has disappointed her fans by not signing any Telugu film post ‘Janatha Garage’ has reportedly signed a prestigious project.
We have already reported that young director Nag Ashwin, who made a successful debut with ‘Yevade Subramanyam’ is working on the pre-production of a biopic on yesteryear actress, Mahanati Savitri. The name of short beauty Nithya Menen was earlier doing rounds as the selected one.
But, it is now almost confirmed that Samantha has come on board to step into the shoes of the late actress. Sam earlier said that she was waiting for performance oriented roles and what could be a bigger film than the silver screen adaption of Savitri’s life, which has its share of huge success on the professional front to shallows in personal life.
An announcement regarding Sam’s inclusion in the project will shortly be made. Ashwini Dutt’s daughter Priyanka Dutt will be producing this film.
