The TV audiences who watch the popular comedy show ‘Jabardasth’ might be aware of ‘Jabardasth’ RP aka Rachakonda Prasad. He is noted for his on-screen comic performances, but he has faced several difficulties off-screen to reach this position.
During an interview, he revealed that he worked as a waiter at Annapurna mess during his struggling days. He added, ‘I always dreamt of becoming a film director. Right from childhood, I have the knack of making people laugh with my jokes. I dropped out of degree and reached Hyderabad to make my career in films. After a period of struggle, I joined as Assistant Director and worked for few films’.
‘’Pichchi Prema’, a short film directed by me won National Award. Sri Hari sir gave me the chance of direction after he was impressed with my script but unfortunately he died just a few days after. Later, I impressed Dhanraj with the script of a skit and landed in Jabardasth’. Now, I am busy with ‘Jabardasth, ‘Pataas’ and roles in several films. My dream is to become a movie director,’ added RP.
