For the first time, the state government will present a Budget without the Economic Survey and details of the growth of the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP).
The Budget outlay for 2010-2011 will be over Rs 1 lakh crore with the Chief Minister, Mr K. Rosaiah, deciding to continue the tradition of his predecessor the late Y. S. Rajasekhar Reddy.
Official sources said Mr Rosaiah had instructed that the plan size must not be less than that of the previous year.
The state had informed the Centre that the plan expenditure would be Rs 36,000 crore.
However, the Centre reduced it by Rs 3,000 crore.
The state hopes to retain the original amount as it is expecting extra revenues from tax hikes.(DC)
