Yesterday we heard that Tollywood producer Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao has acquired Rajinikanth’s "ROBO" movie Telugu dubbing rights or a whopping Rs 30 Crores.
But now, Sun TV pictures CEO Hansaraj Saxena says that they haven’t sold off the Telugu rights to any producer yet. On Monday evening (August 10, 2010), Gemini TV, the Sun TV group’s Telugu entertainment channel, aired a scrolling saying that they haven’t sold the rights to any producer.
While contacted the producer about this statement, he has showed a proof of letter that was given by Sun Pictures itself by mentioning that he paid Rs. 2 crores as advance for getting Robo dubbing rights.
It seems the deal went sour when another distributor/producer came with more moolah.
