Reel to Real! Heroines raise cash for charity

The reel life heroines won’t put their foot back when it comes to helping the needy. Stars in Tollywood Cinema are always seen indulging in some or the other social service act that has won the heart of many. Many heroines believe in collecting the money for a social cause by auctioning their dresses, paintings, cars, houses, etc.

Chitramala brings you a few Tollywood heroines’ famous auctions, who later donated the collected money for a social cause.

Samantha:

Samantha is very much active in auctioning and donating. She has been associated with the Pratyusha Support – an NGO that is working for the orphans, women and the physically disabled. Samantha auctioned her dresses that were worn in audio releases, functions and events. She even went on to auction Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh police uniform.

Ileana has also made some donations. This Goa beauty had auctioned her costumes and promoted it on her Facebook page. The money that was collected was donated to a veterinary hospital that has to be renovated.

This heroine, who looks like a perfect painting, has a passion for art. In 2010, her paintings were chosen by International Art house for auction and the money raised was donated.

Genelia D’Souza:

In 2010, Genelia participated in a competition where she transformed an empty three-room flat with attractive elements. Later on the flat was auctioned and the money raised was donated to an NGO, which provides education to unprivileged children.

Shriya Saran:

Shreya, who is not in the limelight in Tollywood, had also contributed on her behalf. Vizag was hit by the deadly HudHud toofan where hundreds lost their lives and thousands lost shelter. Shreya auctioned her art work and paintings and raised the money for the affected.
