Popular Radio Jockey and actor Balaji, has just notched up an important role in Mani Ratnam’s yet-untitled next Tamil directorial. RJ Balaji shared this exciting news on Twitter, which read as,“And this did happen for real. Grew up watching his films n now to be part of a Maniratnam film. Feels like a dream”. He also shared a picture with Mani Ratnam.
After a successful venture as a radio jockey, Balaji acted in films like Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, Vadacurry, and Pugazh to name a few. His sense of humor and wit earned him a niche audience. He has recently bagged the SIIMA 2016- Best comedian award for Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. Balaji is tipped to be playing actor Karthi’s friend in this upcoming film of Mani Ratnam. The principal shooting of the project will commence from Friday in Ooty. To be produced by Mani Ratnam’s Madras Talkies, the film will have Aditi Rao Hydari as the female lead and AR Rahman will compose music.
