Speaking about the business part of PRDP, it is accounted this film has logged a whopping Rs 40.35 crore on the very first day. This film has been booked for this weekend. On the first day, PRDP saw a 70 to 80 percent of houseful in multiplexes and single screens.

With 40.35 crore revenue on day 1, Salman Khan broke his record of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and stood as the highest opening in 2015.

However, PRDP failed to beat the records of Shah Rukh Khan’s “Happy New Year” which is till date the highest opening grosser. Shah Rukh’s ‘Happy New Year’ that released last year has collected over 42.63 crores at the box-office.

What to be noted is that ‘Baahubali- The beginning’ collected Rs Rs 62 Cr on day one, which also includes multiple languages while PRDP and HNY records are accounted only for Hindi version.

Nevertheless, ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ managed to collect such huge money even after gaining a mixed talk. Shall wait and seen until Shah Rukh’s ‘Dilwale’ releases.
