Kannada actress Sruthi Hariharan lodged a complaint with cyber police at the city police commissioner’s office, requesting action against people uploading morphed photos of hers and other actors on the internet and social media platforms.
Sruthi filed the complaint and stated that the morphed images of her had been doing the rounds for a while. While confirming the allegations, police said that some people had created fake Facebook accounts in Sruthi’s name and published inappropriate images.
Police registered a case under the Information Technology Act, 2000, and began an investigation.
