Ram Gopal Varma has the knack of choosing controversial and curious subjects to make films. After creating a huge controversy in Vijayawada politics by making a biopic on Vangaveeti, now he seems to have targeted Tamil Nadu politics.
Varma has announced to make a film titled ‘Shashikala’. He said that it is the fictional story of the closes friend of a politician. Although Varma stressed that the movie is fictional, everyone know that his film is about Shashikala, the intriguing and enigmatic friend of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, who took the leadership of Jaya’s AIADMK post her demise.
RGV said that he has utmost respect for Jayalalithaa and a bit more respect for Shashikala. Tamil Nadu politics are revolving around Shashikala ever since the death of Jaya and there are even rumors that she slow poisoned Jaya to death to grab the throne of TN. Hence, RGV’s Shashikala will be an interesting project.
