Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan is in the news now. The Bollywood actor has been served a notice by the municipal corporation for unauthorized constructions at his fifth-floor flat in the same Goregaon building. This controversy has been in the news since 2014 when complaints regarding unauthorized constructions were received by the P-south ward office of the BMC. In the past several notices were served by the officials but the developer approached the city civil court and was granted an interim relief.
But now, the court has sent notices to the actor and few other residents of the building. The media, when tried to approach the actor for his comment on the issue, has received no reply from his spokesperson. Filmmaker and activist Ashoke Pandit has been working hard to win this as he repeatedly put the requests to the officials to stop the unauthorized construction.
