It seems that the poor reviews have not hampered the box office prospects of NTR’s latest release ‘Janatha Garage’.
By raking in Rs 21 cr share in the two Telugu states on its opening day, JG became the second biggest opener after Baahubali. It created another record by becoming the 2nd fastest film to reach the Rs 50 Cr worldwide share mark. While Baahubali took just two days, JG took four days for this feat. Decent collections were reported on Monday as well.
Janatha Garage also collected $1.5 million in the US. This is the 4th overall and 3rd successive film of NTR to breach the million dollar mark in the US after Temper and Nannaku Prematho. NTR also became the only South hero to have two back to back films which scored $1.5 million in the US.
