It looks like Praja Rajyam Party president Chiranjeevi has lost his filmy glamour. It was evident on his face at the public meetings he is addressing.

The megastar image is no more visible in Chiranjeevi’s appearance and talk. Without make-up, he looks completely deglamourised; he has turned black and his lips look very pale. Even he is not in a position to cover up his baldness. The voice lacks the punch, he had in films.

And there are no more whistles from the audience. This was the situation even with Telugu Desam founder-president N T Rama Rao. Within days of entering public life, NTR looked old and rough. But at least, he could mesmerise the audience with his filmy dialogues and powerful voice choked with emotion. And that makes all the difference!
