Raghava Rao (Rao Ramesh) loves his daughter Padmavathi (Hebah Patel) a lot to an extent that he does anything and everything for her and her happiness. After completing Engineering, Padmavathi lands herself in Hyderabad to join in a job. Raghava Rao comes with a marriage proposal for Padmavathi. Padmavathi lies to her father that she is already in love with a guy who stays in America. With the advice of friend Maggi (Tejaswi Madiwada), Padmavathi selects three guys Gokul (Noel), Nani (Ashwin) and NaMo (Parvateesham) and keeps tests for them to finalise one as her boy friend. A lot of confusion is created in the process. The rest of the story is all about clearing the confusion that leads to a happy ending.

Cast and Performances:

There are some good performances in the film. Rao Ramesh excels in the father role. This is his usual best and he has put another decent and remarkable performance in the film. His performance in the initial scenes is too good. Hebah Patel is gorgeous and hot. Her looks are impressive. She acted well in the film and the performance in the film proves that she’s improving with film by film. She should start concentrating more on performance oriented films than these regular roles. Noel Sean is good in his role. This will be added as one more good role for him after Kumari 21 F. Ashwin Babu needs to improve a lot. He is okay. Parvateesham is good in his role and brings his best. Tejaswi Madiwada impresses with her role. Sana as mother is good. The comedy actors like Dhanraj and others are good their roles. The rest of the casting made their presence felt.

Writing Department:

The film has a predictable and simple story line. The story by Biyyapu Sai Krishna is entertaining. Though it’s a routine story, the entertainment elements included in it impresses us. The dialogues are good and really apt for some situations especially the emotional scenes. The Screenplay is routine. For a story like this, a routine commercial Screenplay is actually designed and the makers did the same in this film too. But it could have been bit different rather than being routine. Overall, writing in the film is good.

Technical Aspects:

The film is good in terms of technical aspects. The Songs composed by Sekhar Chandra is good. But not all the songs are hummable. The background score is the film is impressive and was according to the situations. Cinematography by Chota K Naidu is very good. His seniority and experience helped the film a lot. The visuals looks rich. Editing by Chota K Prasad could have been much better. The crisper run time could have helped the film. The production values of the film are grand. The run time could have been crisper.

Verdict:

Naanna Nenu Naa Boy Friends is one of the films that we have seen several times in the past. This film has a routine story line. Even the Screenplay was also designed in the routine commercial format. There are some good entertaining elements in the film which are the saving grace. The comedy tracks were written nicely in the film. Though this comedy might not work with some audiences, the B and C class audiences will surely enjoy it. The only advantage of the film is comedy and it was included well in the commercial format.

Some good performances elevated with some good comedy scenes make the film a good watch. Shakalaka Shankar’s comedy track in the second half is interesting. The climax is engaging. The film offers nothing new but it’s completely a fun ride to get entertained for two hours. There is nothing much to talk about the story or the Screenplay because of lack of freshness. On a whole, the film has good fun moments and an engaging/emotional climax which can entertain the audiences. Watch it once.
