Noted Malayalam actress Kalpana Ranjani passed away this morning (January 25, 2016) in Hyderabad. She was 51. As per the reports, Kalpana found in an unconscious state in the hotel room in Hyderabad. She was immediately taken to the Apollo Hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.
She came to Hyderabad for the shooting of Nagarjuna and Karthi’s Oopiri movie and also to attend for IIFA Awards event.
She acted in Telugu films like Sathi Leelavathi, Brahmachari and she is a noted actress in Malayalam. Kalpana is known for her comic roles in South Indian film industries and acted more than 300 films.
Kalpana is the sister of film actresses Urvashi and Kalaranjini. She got married to Malayalam film director Anil Kumar and divorced him in 2012. Their only daughter Sreemayi is staying with Kalpana.
