Taking a cue from ‘Baahubali’, which made filmmakers realize the actual potential of Telugu cinema, Young star heroes are setting a new benchmark at Telugu Box Office with each film.
With every new release, the market of Telugu cinema is expanding to different territories. After Baahubali, Mahesh Babu’s ‘Srimanthudu’ broke several records to reach all time top 2 positions.Pawan Kalyan had the golden opportunity to rewrite records with ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’ but he missed it. Sardaar had done tremendous pre-release business for sure.
Mahesh Babu’s ‘Brahmotsavam’ and NTR’s ‘Janatha Garage’ are now eyeing to set new benchmarks. If reports are to be believed, including the satellite rights, ‘Brahmotsavam’ pre-release business has touched Rs 100 cr, while close to Rs 80 Crore is riding on ‘Janatha Garage.’
It is a huge risk to bet so much, but Mahesh and NTR are coming up with promising films.
