Kareena Kapoor Khan is one of the top actresses of Bollywood. She has millions of fans, some of who are really passionate for her. A central armed police employee, who is a diehard fan of Kareena, allegedly hacked into her income tax account in September last year. His main motive was to obtain her cell phone number and talk to her. The accused used to help his colleagues file their income tax returns online. So he was very well versed with the system and hence, could hack into her account it easily.
A crack team from the cyber crime police was investigating the matter and arrested the accused a few days back. An officer revealed to a leading daily that they were trying to track down the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the person who had hacked into the Udta Punjab actress’ IT account since the past few months. They had found out that the accused had used a mobile phone to hack into her account and after a lot of analysis, the police narrowed down on the mobile number used by the accused.
The police have taken the accused into custody, and he has been booked on charges of impersonation and relevant sections of the Information Technology Act. Kareena’s chartered accountant had filed a complaint on October 1 against an unidentified person for allegedly hacking into her income tax account and filing a false return claim. The accused had apparently paid her quarterly tax amount and even changed her password.
